Rush Limbaugh predicts there will be a Ted Kennedy Memorial Healthcare Bill.
But maybe the reason Republicans are fighting so hard to prevent health reform is that it will be the Republican Memorial Healthcare Bill.

Work-a-day Republicans
Or rather wonk-a-day sic.
Did you know that "wonk" is "know" backwards? But it is still of uncertain origin and could be WithOut Normal Knowledge? I think that Steele may be the missing link.
It could have arisen much the same as the attitude of suspicion that is cast upon those that might know or krow. And it seems that there is a real twist in the way sausage is made when it comes to what the Republicans claim and what they are about. You may be able to know things backwards and forwards but, that does not mean they will work either way.
Earlier Michael Steele was not a policy wonk, now he is a policy krow.

"Are you who I think you are?"
That is the question I posed to Senator Ted Kennedy around twenty years ago. He had just walked into my lobby and asked to be called a cab. I called him a cab. I then had the chance to express the honor it was to meet him and/or thank him for his and/or his families service, as well as get his autograph.*
Nowadays the same question is apropos. Rachel Maddow discusses the Revisionist History that Republicans are creating and Keith Olbermann covered it just preceding the Senator's passing.
*links and italics clarification (here and there) provided 8-28-09
(8-28-09: See comment and latest McCain There is no compromise on an option. By definition. No option, is surrender not compromise. That is not what Senator Kennedy should be remembered for. Sorry, the link was worth repeating. That is not what should define a legacy. )
[Better Seque: A legacy mourned. Bernie Sanders on "the cause". His final speech. His domination. The torch.]
[8-29-09 other memorials: Northwest Progressive Institute, Media Matters ]

Worse Segue
Think for yourself for a moment.
How to talk about the renomination of Ben Bernanke. by David Sirota
I will have to chew this cud again, but it seems that this rhetorical technique is shadows of the right bull. Ruminate on that one. But...
Granted that Bernanke was part of problem, or even that throwing money at the problem and to whom was only a bandaid for some, it does not necessarily follow that alternatives for the chair would have any shot at getting through the grinder of so-called oversight.
[The Segue is just who is Obama?
Not Kennedy, nor a caricature from
Loony tunes.
(Are we who we think we are?)]

Awkward Segue: Ted Kennedy, R.I.P.

Are you talking about me?
..or the Republicans (tongue in cheek).

AWKWARD SEGUE:
May Senator Ted Kennedy "Rest in Peace" with the potential success of health care reform. He now has the potential to role in his grave at the Republican comments in my first link.
Return to normal programming? My apologies for making light or political calculus(or physics) of the passing of an icon. It seems the Republicans lifted a preemptive glass of whine, and it is time for the Democrats get the bread out. I did not want to break or cast it...metaphorically.

Political Terrorism
Chicken Hawk re-down?
"There was concern that if the (if we) if the intelligence supported raising the threat level, it might actually re-down to the detriment of President Bush because people might perceive it political." Bush National Security Advisor Fran Townsend
Even with the flexibility of context* it seems inescapable that politics was a consideration. The above quote might be the case where HS Secretary Tom Ridge prevailed, with this exception proving the rule. Since they feared it being political, they had to raise the level for fear of being charged it was political. If this seems a demonstation of insane thinking, then you get it.
[Held in draft, posted as is 8-26-09]
* Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge prevailed in one case and this may have been it. So an attempt to raise the threat level was rejected for political reasons. (See first link insanity)

FOX in Sheeps Clothing.
Actually sheep in shepherd's clothing.
Or The Sound and the Fury.[*]
Or is it fuzzy? I know that there are segments of news at FAUX News for a few seconds at a time, but the fury above does not hold to their motto:
"No Pundits, no discussion- just the news."
I am not sure if it is really from THE FOX REPORT, but it should be called JUST THE OPPOSITE (of the motto).
Speaking of "the speed of live", (the rest of the FAUX motto), I would love to see Bill Maher's humor live, as it has more news content. (Or Retro Laugh there.)
[Only in the light of wrong, is Shepard anywhere near right, but he is nowhere near left of wrong. "O, most lame and impotent news. Shak. (misQ "conclusion")]
[Speaking of sound... not the fuzzy.]
*[My original feeling of disgust has moderated toward admiring his "slippery slop" of (sic) journalism.(See comments for punctuation notes)]
[UPDATE: 8-13-09 Whine Country and smokin' rhetoric.**]
[** the latter is busted news.]
[Howard Dean and Charlie McCarthyism (not to mention.)]

The Awakening
Not that I am fully into the swing of it, but here is someone who rocked the boat and jumped ship... slightly *. (Speaking of lines of Kool Aid and balancing Faux News **it seems that Dylan Ratigan just may be my cup of tea.)
* Dylan Ratigan schools the koolaid/tea partiers on Morning Joe.
(past and future) Speaking of schooled can we get a canoe, AKA Spin Off?.
** The Elkhart Project is following Obama and the Economy
